With a buffer of vibrant museums, gardens, and parks, you'll find plenty of reasons to meet in St. Louis.
Families will enjoy visiting the Saint Louis Zoo, The Magic House and the Saint Louis Science Center. Meanwhile, the arts cannot fail to check out the City Museum and the Saint Louis Art Museum. Whenever you start your adventure, save time to admire the iconic stainless steel Arch that rises from the city center.

1. Gateway Arch
The monument to the country's westward expansion is also a technical marvel, in which St. Louisans still boasts more than 50 years after construction. The stainless steel arch, designed and submitted by Eero Saarinen in a national competition, rose 630 feet into the air and stretched 630 feet from one foot to the other.

And the visions of adults are not shabby either. 10. The Magic House, St. Louis Children's Museum
If you're traveling with little ones, save time for a visit to The Magic House. This children's museum is in Kirkwood, a western suburb of St. Louis, offering many interactive exhibits for young children to enjoy, including an area for budding builders, a bubble room and the enchanting climbing structure of "Jack and Beanstalk".
On sunny days, your child can also run around the outdoor Playground, where there is a circular stream, hopscotch, garden kaleidoscope and more.
Families are crazy about the Wonder House, citing its exhibits to be more educational than what is found in other children's museums. Visitors also praise the hotel's attentive staff, though some note that the facility may become crowded, especially during holidays and when school groups are on site.
To avoid hordes of families in the summer and on weekends (the busiest times of the year), the museum recommends arriving after 2 p.m.
