Here are the best things to do in Faenza (Italian pronunciation: [faɛntsa]; Latin: Faventia).

1. Palazzo Milzetti Museo Nazionale Dell'eta Neoclassica In Romagna
Interesting to find a celebrated town in Italy where fame or renown comes not from its 15th-century Cathedral, medieval palazzos or vast picture galleries of 13th-14th century paintings and sculptures, but from the production of a certain type of white-glazed ceramic called faience.
Add to this the realization that Faenza has been doing this since the 12th century and it was responsible for us, at short notice, to visit some of the workshops and a school of fine art where we witnessed stages of modeling vases and the preparation of colors.
We trawled, amazed, through the Museum of Ceramics, home to one of the largest collections in the world, displaying works from the Middle Ages through to the 19th century.
The museum took us through the different periods of Faience, from the archaic, floral and Bertino styles, to the white-blue glaze of 18th-century Chinoiserie. Regretfully we lacked the time to do an in-depth study of the 50,000 volumes detailing the history of Faience in the museum library.
2. International Ceramic Museum
MIC provides a full vision of ceramic cultures of all ages and locations; The pieces from the Far East and the Middle East, from South America and all of Europe, allow visitors to have a unique experience.
It was founded in 1908 and it now preserves more than 60,000 ceramics, from ancient times to the present day, all placed in wonderful and evocative architectural spaces.
3. Parco R.Bucci
The best place to surround yourself with animals and relax in nature. I took a nice nap listening to all the variety of animals right next to a lake.
4. Piazza Del Popolo
Faenza is not a tourist city, so it is often empty, especially in the summer when people go to nearby coastal cities. In the morning there is a market in the market, where you can buy things like electronics, clothes, socks, small toys, bags, and souvenirs.
In the evening, the square is empty, until dinner time and people start going to nearby restaurants and bars. The stairs by the church are nice, it's a great place to go for a bike ride, and it's the city center, so it's close to everything. The shops located there were mostly expensive though.
5. Fontana Di Piazza Della Liberta
This looks to have been lovingly restored or amazingly well kept. Either way, it's a really nice little fountain in the main square.
6. Duomo Di Faenza
This Duomo is spectacular. Its several altars are breathtaking and the reverence this place enforces and holds is beautiful. I have returned to the altar of Madonna Del Sudore many times. A magical place.
7. Torre Di Oriolo
A very interesting tower but can only be viewed from afar if you go when it is closed and parking is difficult.
8. Torre Dell'orologio
This is one of the great conditions and after renovation, it will give great views of the city and the hills right behind it.
9. Teatro Comunale A. Masini
The theater is really great ... as soon as you arrive, you will be surprised by the magic of the well-preserved courtyard .. I recommend watching a show ... one of the beautiful theaters most I've ever seen from the outside.
10. Pinacoteca Comunale Di Faenza
We had to ring the doorbell to gain entrance! Much larger and interesting Exhibitions than expected. Emphasis on local artists, but not only. There was a group of kindergarten kids doing the artwork- very sweet. The museum supervisor was very helpful.
