1. MUSEE BONNARD
Musee Bonard is a gentle and lovely space to admire Bonard's art. We happened to attend when outside the permanent exhibition there was a temporary exhibition from D'Orsay in Paris. Enjoyed it.
2. MUSEE D'ART CLASSIQUE DE MOUGINS
Discover how, at the entrance of the ancient village of Mougins, how the beauty of the ancient world influenced neoclassical, modern and contemporary art. We will co-organize a temporary exhibition with Mougins village from April 12 to May 28, 2012, Legend & Heros.
A selection of sculptures, paintings & mosaics by Picasso, Arman, Sosno, Renoir, Rubens, Cezanne & Turchi are displayed in Espace Culturelle.
3. ILES DE LERINS
The two islands are just a boat ride away from Cannes, Ste-Marguerite, and St-Honorat, covered with eucalyptus and pine forests and are home to Fort Royal.
4. MUSEE NATIONAL PICASSO LA GUERRE ET LA PAIX
Appreciate that the collections displayed here will be different, but nonetheless disappointed with our recent return to this small Picasso museum. On a previous visit (more than 10 years ago), we found a very interesting thematic collection of Picasso pottery around fish designs on plates.
This time, no such luck, and nothing in the pottery that was memorable. We were curious about the picture "War and Peace", but saw the images that made this picture in their original components elsewhere, it appeared like a rather poor cousin.
Despite being an interesting image. I would not make a special trip just to see this, but as part of a general visit to the pottery street, it is worth stopping in.
5. PALAIS PRINCIER MONACO
Pro: Audioguide in different languages, included in the price. Very good and extensive explications in the audioguide for each room we visited.
Contra: There are 2 lines to get in. They ignored the one for "individuals" several times and let the "groups" one in, even though it was clear as day that the individual's line was much-much longer. It was a total disrespect for the ones that were waiting for 20-30 minutes to get in. The tour is quite short, there are 13 rooms you can visit.
6. LE MONASTERE FORTIFIE
If you're tired of the busy Cannes, visit Ile Saint Honorat. It is a very quiet and quiet island. If ... thanks a lot for sharing these few lines. It is a perfect summary of what you can do on the island. Do not hesitate to have a look at our program for a future visit.
7. LE MUR DES AMOUREUX DE PEYNET
I would not call this a tourist attraction to do! Basically, it's someone's house that has an anime drawn on the side. It was weird and it was so comfortable to see.
8. EGLISE NOTRE DAME DE VIE
Very difficult to find. Very little publicity made around this little chapel dating from the 17th century, painted by Churchill, visited by Picasso who lived nearby for 12 years. Unfortunately, it is not open to the public.
9. LE SUQUET
A nice little place in Cannes old town. We were wandering around looking for a nice place to eat. We have a fixed menu of 27 € (including appetizers, main courses, and desserts). Everything is great and enough. I’d say it’s a great catch and service is also pretty good. I’d definitively recommend it. Two thumbs up.
10. FOX IN A BOX
FOX IN A BOX presents a new concept of real-life escape game designed for groups of 2 to 5 people. You have one hour to solve riddles and logic games in your chosen topic room. The goal is simple but difficult to achieve: you must work as a team to use your logic to escape ... in an hour!
